The Engineering Assessment
In the heavy manufacturing environment of Makarpura GIDC, Control Panel Air Conditioners are the only line of defense keeping expensive CNC machines, VFDs, and PLC automation systems from catastrophic thermal failure. Our industrial engineering squad was dispatched to a major manufacturing plant after an enclosure cooler triggered a high-temperature alarm, halting the production line.
Industrial panel ACs operate in brutal conditions. Upon inspection, we found the condenser coils and primary airflow filters entirely choked with airborne machine oil and metallic dust. This severe restriction caused the compressor to overheat and trip on its internal thermal overload protector. Additionally, the constant heat cycling had degraded the main electrical contactor.
To restore the unit without damaging the sensitive electronics inside the panel, we isolated the AC module. We executed a specialized chemical wash using non-corrosive, industrial-grade solvents to dissolve the oil and sludge from the aluminum fins. After replacing the burnt electrical contactor and optimizing the R134a refrigerant levels, the system was brought back online. The internal cabinet temperature rapidly stabilized at a safe 26°C, protecting the automation hardware and allowing the factory to resume full production.
