Proper AC Insytallation

Why Does Your Air Conditioner Blower Hot Air?

There is nothing worse than you realize that your air conditioner is blowing warm air in the middle of the night during hot summer months. So, why is your ac blowing hot air? Well, there are several reasons.

We’ve mentioned some of the most common reasons, as indicated by HVAC technicians who specialise in air conditioning repairs, in this blog:

1.The thermostat is wrongly set:

It can seem absurd. But it does happen. Check your thermostat to make sure it’s set to the correct temperature for cooling. It’s possible that your children have set it to heat.

Furthermore, if your thermostat is set to ‘auto’ or ‘on,’ the fan will run even if the air conditioner is not actually cooling. When it’s hot outside, this causes the air conditioner to blow warm air through the vents.

2. Evaporator coil is filthy :

When was the last time you washed your cooling system’s filters?

If your thermostat is set to cool but you’re still getting warm air, it may be due to a dirty evaporator coil in your filter.

Yes, a clogged air filter and evaporator coil will prevent your air conditioner from effectively cooling your room. Filters need to be washed on a regular basis, and you can do it yourself. You may also adjust the filter, but this requires the assistance of a specialist. This is why air conditioning service in India should be scheduled at least once every six months.

3. Outdoor unit that isn’t well-maintained :

Have you ever gone outside to inspect the condition of your outdoor unit?

Many homeowners are unconcerned about the outside unit of their air conditioner.

The indoor unit will not work properly if the outdoor unit is clogged with dirt and debris, or if the condenser coil airflow is blocked.

It has a major effect on the cooling capacity of the air conditioner.

Cleaning the condenser coils is necessary and should be done on a regular basis.

4. The outdoor unit isn’t getting any power :

Despite the fact that the indoor unit blows air into your space, it can only cool it if the outdoor unit is working properly.

If your air conditioner isn’t getting power, air will blow out of your vents, but it won’t be cool.

Perhaps the circuit’s fuse has blown or the breaker has tripped.

Check your circuit breaker to see if it’s providing power to the outdoor unit.
