System Fault Detected: Voltas Split AC Error E6
Continuing to run equipment with this active code may void warranties or cause permanent mechanical failure.
Symptom:
The Indoor Unit runs for 2-3 minutes, then stops. The display flashes “E6”. The Outdoor Unit does not start.
Technical Meaning:
Communication Failure. The Indoor PCB is not receiving a feedback signal from the Outdoor PCB. In Vadodara’s industrial areas, this is often caused by voltage spikes damaging the signal wire or sulfur corrosion on the terminal block.
Atlas Aircon Solution:
- Reset: Turn off the mains MCB for 5 minutes and restart.
- Wire Check: We inspect the “S” (Signal) wire for continuity.
- PCB Repair: If the wire is intact, the Optocoupler on the Outdoor PCB has likely failed. We repair this at our Sayajigunj lab.
