The Issue

Diagnostic
Our technician arrived within 60 minutes and tested the circuit board using an oscilloscope and digital multimeter. We discovered a blown IPM (Intelligent Power Module) and a faulty bridge rectifier caused by a recent voltage spike.
Engineering Fix
- Removed the outdoor control board and replaced the burnt IPM chip on-site using micro-soldering equipment.
- Performed a 45-minute deep vacuum on the refrigerant lines.
- Charged virgin R32 refrigerant by exact weight according to manufacturer specifications.
